The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, is seeking an undergraduate program assistant for summer 2017 and the 2017-18 academic year. 


  • Attend online events and meetings to provide support for online web conferencing tool, Blackboard Collaborate (previous experience with Blackboard Collaborate not necessary, training will be provided.)
  • Assist in developing and maintaining content on the CIRTL website (
  • Create and edit video captions (for posting on youtube or other platforms)
  • Create event archives from recorded online sessions
  • Maintain project google calendars
  • Help develop, manage, and maintain email address database and other program databases
  • Assist with local arrangements for CIRTL national meetings and conferences
  • Create online forms using Qualtrics to collect information from partner institutions.
  • Assist with event registration
  • Other tasks as assigned


  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on your own, with limited supervision
  • Good time management skills, ability to track multiple projects and due dates in parallel
  • Reliability and ability to maintain regular schedule
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to learn web conferencing and other web based tools, such as Blackboard Collaborate
  • Experience with graphic/desktop publishing software such as InDesign and Photoshop a plus
  • Experience with Google Docs a plus
  • Experience creating and editing youtube videos a plus


  • 10-20 hours/week for summer 2017
  • 10-15 hours/week available for 2017-2018 academic year
  • All work must be done between 8AM -5 PM, M-F
