Are you interested in better understanding how people learn? If so, our Learning Sciences lab is recruiting undergraduate research assistants to work on our project.


For this position we are specifically looking for a psychology major or a student with background in psychology or education, with strong interest in working with a large group of faculty, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students on a NSF funded project. We expect that the selected students will work on transcribing classroom audio and video data, and help with data organization and scoring. In addition, selected candidates will be required to help with literature searches and helping with organizing bibliography using the EndNote software.


By working in our lab group, you can gain valuable experience in:
- Working as a part of the team of NSF research grants;

- Gaining experience in doing literature searches and using Endnote

-Helping organize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data;

- Helping test and edit classroom materials for middle school science curriculum;

-Closely collaborating with faculty, researchers, graduate students, and other undergraduates;

-Helping the research team with other organizational and administrative tasks as needed.


Students can also work for credit on independent research projects.


We are looking for self-motivated and responsible students with an interest in education research. This position would be from summer 2017 and would have the potential to extend throughout the 2017-2018 academic year and the summer of 2018.  We are looking for a students who can commit to working approximately 10 hours per week.
